The Dallas County Hospital Foundation is hosting a fundraiser this weekend.

The Muscle Up and Sock Hop Around 5K Walk/Run is this Saturday at the hospital in Perry. The event begins just after 9am with some opening remarks, followed by the kids walk/run at 9:15am and the adult walk/run will start at 9:30am. There will be a first place prizes for the top child finisher, along with the top adult male and female. During the race, participants can also enjoy 1970s themed stations. Participants are also encouraged to dress up for a costume contest, where the best individual and group costumes will also win prizes.

Cost to be in the race is $20 for children and $25 for adults and each participant will receive a pink headband as October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds will go back to the hospital foundation for equipment purchases. Call the Dallas County Hospital to sign up.
