The Perry Public Library reminds readers of two book clubs that are meeting next week.
The Mystery Book Club will meet Tuesday at 2pm in the community room of the library. Library Director Mary Murphy will lead the discussion on “The Physicist’s Daughter” by Mary Anna Evans.
“It’s about a munitions factory in Louisiana. And how this physicist’s daughter, she’s working in the factory and she’s a welder, which is a-typical of women back in the 1940s. And I’ll leave you hanging right there.”
Murphy points out the next Never Too Old for YA Book Club will meet on Wednesday at 6pm also at the community room. She says the book that will be examined is “White Smoke” by Tiffany Johnson. Murphy talks about the participants in this book club.
“The age range for this book club is really large because young adult books, most of them are about choices, about something topical, and something that you can talk about, and have opinions about.”
Murphy says both book clubs are ongoing and reminds everyone anyone can join at any time. Check their website for the next upcoming book on their calendar.
