A reminder that tonight is a fundraiser for Greene County area youth.

The Greene County Youth Athletic Association is hosting a scrimmage football game at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The gates open at 5:30pm, followed by a $6 meal to be served at 6pm, which includes a hamburger or hotdog, along with chips and a drink. The flag and tackle teams will begin at 6:30pm. 

GCYAA Board President Travis Warnke hopes lots of people will come out to support these young athletes. 

“And it’s nice, we get to do it under the lights. So it’s kind of let’s them get that feel for what Friday nights could feel like. It’s a great community event. They get to start seeing these kids out there. These kids play really hard, when we get a huge fan base out there, I mean they get very excited. It’s fun to see.”    

Additionally, the event includes a dessert bake sale and a 50/50 raffle. A free will donation will be accepted at the gate for admission to the games. The proceeds will go back to the youth football program.
