Adel-DeSoto-Minburn and Creston football played in a highly anticipated game on Friday night in Adel in a battle of class 3A District 6 top ten teams, and the Tigers were able to find some great success, as they were able to put up four touchdowns in the first half and never look back in a exceptional 34-7 victory. ADM moves to 6-0 and 2-0 in district play and Creston to 5-1 and 1-1 in district play.

After a first drive that resulted in an interception, the Tigers were able to score touchdowns on their next three drives, with Aiden Flora throwing for a touchdown of 13 yards to Brevin Doll, then running it in himself. Doll would have a pair of rushing touchdowns in the second quarter with the Tigers taking a 28-0 lead into the locker room.

Creston would have Brennan Hayes run it in from four yards out early in the third quarter to cut the lead, but a Sam Holloway 40 yard field goal along with a 15 yard passing touchdown from Flora to Vince Benetti in the fourth quarter would ice the game.

Flora finishes with 290 passing yards with 2 touchdowns and the interception, along with 108 rushing yards. Doll finishes with 162 yards receiving and 105 ruhsing yards with three touchdowns on the night. Defensively, Benetti was able to finish with a pair of sacks as the Tigers were able to hold Creston nearly 30 points below their season average in scoring.

For ADM, one of the biggest games in the state will take place next Friday night, when the Tigers will be taking on the defending 3A state champion in the Harlan Cyclones, in a game that is projected to determine the winner of the district.
