Tuesday night the West Central Valley volleyball team hosted the Earlham Cardinals for Senior Night, and ended up coming away with a hard fought victory. The Wildcats had to duke it out for 5 sets, but ultimately came away with the 3-2 win, bringing them to 13-9 on the season.

Tonight the cross country team plays host, as many teams come to compete in the Wildcat Invitational, where several teams will be showing up to compete. Other West Central Activities Conference teams that will make the trip to the meet are the AC/GC Chargers, Earlham Cardinals, Woodward Academy Knights and Woodward-Granger Hawks. There will be 6 non-conference teams competing as well.

Tomorrow night is Homecoming, with the football team hosting cross county rival, the Panorama Panthers. These two teams have played many close games before, and the Wildcats will be looking to take the victory in this one.

Looking at season stats leaders for the two teams, junior Cayden VanMeer leads Panorama in passing yards, with 388 yards and 4 touchdowns on 56 completions, and throwing in 59 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown. Fellow junior Ryan Cogil leads the Panthers in rushing yards, with 577 yards and 6 touchdowns on 108 carries. Junior Klayton Bremer leads Panorama in both receiving yards and total tackles, recording 178 yards and 1 touchdown on 14 receptions, and 19 tackles.

For the Wildcats, junior Nate Gerling leads the team in passing yards, with 263 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 completions, and adding 43 rushing yards and 1 rushing. Senior Braiden Beane leads West Central Valley in both rushing and receiving yards, collecting 257 yards and 2 touchdowns on 34 carries, and 73 receiving yards on 5 receptions. Fellow senior Kaedon Lindsay leads the team in total tackles, with 28 tackles and 4 tackles for a loss of yards.
