Adel-DeSoto-Minburn cross country teams will both be competing today in near perfect conditions, as they will both be racing at different events. The boys will be competing at Southeast Polk and the girls will be running at Perry.
The girls are coming off of a solid 9th place finish out of more than 50 schools in their event in Minnesota last week, and come into the event as the number 6 ranked team in the latest iowarunjumpthrow.com poll. Senior Geneva Timmerman is ranked third in the latest poll, and freshmen Haley James lands at number 22.
This is the boys first race in over a week, and were able to maintain their top 10 ranking in the latest 3A poll. Sophomore Torin Timmerman is ranked 21st on the boys side.
The boys event will be happening at Southeast Polk High School with that event projected to begin around 4:30, and the girls event will be happening at the Perry Golf and Country Club, with that to happen at 5 pm.
