Last night the West Central Valley Wildcats hosted the Woodward-Granger Hawks for some volleyball action. So far this year, the team has had a few ups and downs, but still has roughly half the season ahead of them. Let’s do a quick recap of the season so far for the Wildcats.

The team started off with a Gatorade scrimmage against the Madrid Tigers, before heading to Panora and facing off against the Panorama Panthers, getting a well deserved win for the season opener. The Wildcats then hosted two games in one week, falling to the Van Meter Bulldogs in a hard fought match, before taking down the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats two days later.

The West Central Valley team then headed down to Clarinda for some weekend tournament action against a handful of southwest Iowa teams, and a Missouri team. The Wildcats did well, but were unfortunately unable to come away with a win. Last week the team headed to Guthrie Center for a hard fought game against the AC/GC Chargers. Again, last night the Wildcats played host to the Woodward-Granger Hawks
