Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center volleyball beats a cross town rival in a tough environment Tuesday night.

The Lady Chargers defeated the Panorama Panthers in four sets. The Chargers won the first two sets 25 to 16 and 25 to 20. The Panthers would not be done, winning the third set 25 to 21 and lost in a tightly contested fourth set 27 to 25. ACGC Head Coach Barb South tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this was a rewarding conference victory over a good rival.

“It’s always good to go into this knowing It’s going to be a loud environment, which  both sides of the crowds came and got into the game. And it was fun. The girls couldn’t hear me too well, but that was part of the fun of the rivalry. But this was a great win. We had to battle through it, but we came out on top, and that made me proud.”

The Lady Chargers will stay home on Saturday for the AC/GC Tournament with more details to be announced.
