The investigation by the FBI following the raid on former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-A-Lago in Florida to retrieve classified documents is ongoing and some lawmakers are asking for clarity and transparency.

Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District Representative Randy Feenstra wants answers from the Department of Justice after the US Attorney General Merrick Garland approved the search warrant for the classified documents.

“We need transparency. I mean this is completely unprecedented. So we need to completely why the Department of Justice and the FBI went down this path. I mean this is a former sitting President, I think all of us Americans need to know and have full disclosure of why it happened and was it truly needed.”

US Senator Chuck Grassley raised what he believes is legitimate questions about biases with the FBI through his previous experiences.

“A persons been fired as a result of my pointing out some political bias on starting an investigation on Trump and stopping an investigation on Hunter Biden. And then you go back to the Obama Administration and Hillary Clinton destroying emails, and the Carter Page thing, and the Steele Dossier, and the Russian disinformation and all of that. So I’m only raising a question. I’m not making an accusation.”

Feenstra adds this has never happened before where the FBI raids a home of a former US President.
