A friendly competition between two Jefferson organizations benefited another non-profit outfit.

The Jefferson Elks Lodge #2306 and Jefferson Does Drove #196 challenged each other to see which group could raise more food items and monetary donations for the local food pantry, the Greene County Action Resource Center in Jefferson during the month of August. Together, the Elks and Does raised $640 of groceries and monetary donations with the Does winning the contest. 

The two organizations recently made their donation to ARC Manager Shirley Haupert.
