The Panorama Panthers volleyball team took the court again this week this past Tuesday when they took on the Van Meter Bulldogs as regular season volleyball continued.

The Panthers were looking to find the win column again and were facing off against a strong Bulldogs team and ultimately the Panthers fell in all three sets by scores of 25-9, 25-14 and 25-12 resulting in the Panthers losing the match and dropping to an overall record of 2-4 on the year so far.

The early week match against the Bulldogs wasn’t the only action slated for this week as the Panthers volleyball team will also be taking on the Interstate 35 Roadrunners beginning at 7 p.m. today at Panorama High School. The Roadrunners currently have a record of 0-4 on the year so far and historically the Panthers have a winning record of 4-0 all-time against the Roadrunners including a 3-0 win in 2021.

Then the Panthers girls will round out the week by taking part in a varsity volleyball tournament at Shenandoah High School beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday as the regular season begins to pick up. Head Coach Mollie Sorber says in this slate of games the hopes are the cardio and conditioning work done in practice will carry over into this long slate of games.

The Panthers are getting solid production in various categories including Jaidyn Sellers in the kills and blocks department while Keira Simmons and Cayden Iredale are also providing stats in both of those areas as well. Faith Recker is leading the way in the assists department and the Panthers have multiple players who are consistently striking the ball well in the serving department.

The Panthers will get back out on the court today when they take on the Interstate 35 Roadrunners beginning at 7 p.m. today at Panorama High School as the Panthers will be looking to get back in the win column this season.
