Greene County Medical Center recently announced a new specialist provider that will start next month.

Dr. Kelsey Sukovaty is a podiatric surgeon, trained in all areas of the foot and ankle, including total ankle replacement surgery. She is replacing Dr. Timothy Holcomb, who ended his practice in Jefferson on September 2nd. He will continue as a provider closer to his home.

Dr. Sukovaty grew up near Manson and received her undergraduate degree at the University of Northern Iowa. She then earned her doctorate degree at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Her residency was through MercyOne Medical Center in Waterloo. Dr. Sukovaty can help treat plantar fasciitis, toenail fungus or ingrown toenails, plantar warts, foot wounds, sports injuries to the foot and ankle, bunions, hammer toes, flat foot or high arches, and fracture or tendon trauma repair.

Dr. Sukovaty will begin practicing at the medical center on October 3rd and will be available weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays. Contact the medical center at 515-386-2488 to schedule an appointment.
