The Stuart Chamber of Commerce is throwing the largest tailgate for an  instate rivalry football game and they need help.

Stuart Chamber of Commerce Member Nate Westre says the RVTV tour will come to Stuart on September 8th, which celebrates the Iowa/Iowa State Cy-Hawk football game by traveling around the state leading up to the game and creating a tailgate-like atmosphere for a live television broadcast. Westre tells Raccoon Valley Radio they expect a large number of people but need volunteers to make this event successful.

“Volunteers are vital and we couldn’t do any of these events without all the volunteer help we get and we never have enough help. All events could always be a little bit smoother and better attended if we just had a few more bodies willing to take half an hour or an hour to man a station.”

Westre explains some of the volunteer duties would be supervising activities, picking up trash and cleaning up, direct traffic and much more. He points out that those willing to become a volunteer can do so by contacting the Stuart Chamber of Commerce and their contact will be listed here:
