Adair-Casey/Guthrie High School will show off their talented fine art students at every home football game this season. 

Band Director Kyra Babcock says the first game they provide music and entertainment for will be tonight during the pregame and halftime show of the game against Woodward-Granger. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio they spend a lot of time rehearsing every performance to sound as best as possible. 

“We try to get everybody together, get everything fitted the right way. Then we go outside, get a good warm up in and then we have to get our focus and try and head down and try and look and sound as clean as we can.”

Babcock notes the theme this year will be a movie theme with songs from the Man of Steel, Narnia and Star Wars. 

“The music is energizing, it’s positive. It gives you a good lesson, a good mindset. I call them power chords that make you feel like you’re in charge.”

She notes that the theme will stay the same throughout the year but the songs may change. The 2022-2023 Drum Majors will be Andrew Mahaffey for the field show and Justin Reinhart for the parade The AC/GC versus Woodward-Granger football game will kick off at 7pm and the game can be heard on the KKRF-2 mobile app or on RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
