The Adel Public Library is currently looking for people to donate snacks as the library is gearing up for after school programming for children.

Patron Service Manager Amy Puck says they are looking for specific snacks and drinks to be donated that can then be used for their after school programming as well as other special events.

“There is a list of specific items on our website you can sign up and bring in those items and drop them off at any time during library hours. We greatly appreciate people’s generosity and even though we do accept random snacks we are looking for very specific snacks. So, if we could ask people to go onto our website and go to the snack drive button, just click on that and it will give you a list of all of the things we are looking for.”

Puck tells Raccoon Valley Radio this was a new idea brought on by the youth services librarian and some of the items include disposable plates, cases of bottled water and boxes of hot chocolate among other items.
