Monday, August 30th

1:46am: An officer located an Open Door at 610 North Elm Street. The building was secured by the officer.

2:44am: Austin Owens reported an opossum in a garage at 203 South Olive Street.

5:29am:Hy Vee reported a female at 106 West Washington Street, bothering customers by asking for money. The officer advised the female the business no longer wanted her there and she left the area.

11:59am: The Greene County Homeless Coalition advised an officer that they had also attempted to offer assistance to the female transient, and she refused any help.

1:58pm: An officer assisted a deputy on a Traffic Stop near 220th and Forest.

2:18pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of North Maple Street.

3:30pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1100 Block of South Chestnut Street resulted in Hollie Roberts of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:56pm: An officer spoke to a resident in the 700 Block of North Cedar Street about blowing grass into the street while mowing. The grass was removed from the street.

4:17pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident near Deer Run and Hill Rose Ln. A 2010 Bluebird school bus, owned by Greene County CSD and driven by Mark Renslow of Grand Junction, was backing and struck a fiberglass street light pole. The pole was broken off at the ground and the light was destroyed. The officer is determining the damage amount. The bus was not damaged.

5:01pm: Officers arrested a subject at Washington Park, who had outstanding Arrest Warrants. Eric Christopher Rosenow, 38 of Jefferson was wanted out of Hamilton County for, “Fail to Appear.” During the arrest, suspected meth and marijuana were located and seized from Rosenow. Charges pending lab results.
