Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls cross country faced multiple teams in a home meet at DCG middle school on Tuesday, and the Mustangs were able to find some nice results on both sides. The boys were able to get 1st place with a team score of 30 points and the girls were able to finish 2nd place with a score of 74 points.

The girls were lead by a pair of runners in the top ten with Maddy Stevens finishing 5th with a time of 20 minutes 49 seconds and Emerson McDermott finishing 8th with a time of 21 minutes 8 seconds. All of the boys scorers were able to finish in the top 10, lead by Ben Every who finished 2nd at a mark of 16 minutes 41 seconds and Jack Every who finished 4th with a time of 16 minutes and 56 seconds.

Both teams will not have any races for a little over a week, before both sides will be back on the course Thursday, September 9th up at Marshalltown.
