Monday, August 29th

1:02am: An officer located an Open Door at 600 East Lincoln Way Street. The officer secured the building.

3:26am: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Oakland resulted in Jesse Jones of Maxwell being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

9:11am: Melonie Bruck advised of a female walking in the 1200 Block of North Elm Street. The officer located the walking female, who advised she did not need any assistance.

11:34am: A Fed Ex driver advised as he was driving in the 300 Block of South Pinet Street, a vehicle backed from a private drive, striking his truck. The vehicle left the area after the collision. The officer is investigating.

11:57am: Jefferson Telecom requested a Welfare Check on a female lying on the ground near Vine and Harrison Streets. The female advised she was fine. The officer requested her to leave the private property.

2:28pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical call in the 200 Block of West McKinley Street.

5:06pm: A caller advised of a deceased cat in the 400 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer disposed of the cat.

7:40pm: An officer removed several branches from the roadway in the 700 Block of West Russell Street.

8:04pm: Dave Sayre advised of a transient female near Madison and Elm Streets. The officer checked on the female, who advised she was fine.

8:32pm: An officer investigated a Rear End Accident on 220 th Street, near Mulberry. A 2016 Buick Verano, owned by Douglas Gifford of Carroll and operated by Brooklyn Gifford of Carroll, was westbound on 220 th Street. Gifford slowed to navigate a turn onto Mulberry and was struck from the rear. The 2021 Hyundai Elantra that struck Gifford was owned and operated by Taylor Gierstorf of Boone. Each vehicle had a reported $1500.00 in damages. Gierstorf was cited for, “Fail to Stop in Assured Clear Distance Ahead.”
