
Thursday, August 25th
8:01am: Chad McCollum of Jefferson reported a two-vehicle accident having occurred at the intersection of Harrison Street and Olive Street. The Officer investigated the scene and found the following. Elizabeth Gross of Jefferson was operating a gray “2014” Jeep Wrangler north on South Olive Street approaching the intersection with East Harrison Street. Chad McCollum was operating a white “2009” Chevrolet Express Van was traveling east on East Harrison Street approaching the intersection with South Olive Street. The front of Gross’s vehicle collided with the front passenger side of McCollum’s vehicle. Gross’s vehicle sustained approximately $20,000 in damage. McCollum’s vehicle sustained approximately $2,500 in damage. Elizabeth Gross was transported from the scene by the Greene County Ambulance Service for possible injuries. Chad McCollum was cited for “Failure to Yield to Vehicle on Right”
8:40am: Dan Burkhardt of Jefferson requested a welfare check on a family member in Jefferson. The Officer made contact with the family member and no assistance was needed.
9:41am: While on patrol, the Officer located a stray dog in the 500 block of East Lincoln Way. The Officer caught the dog and took it to the animal shelter.
10:22am: Angela Milakovich of Jefferson reported ongoing harassment. The Officer is investigating.
11:27am: Robert Jackson of Pine, Arizona reported a two-vehicle accident at the four-way stop for the intersection of Elm Street and Lincoln Way. The Officer investigated and found the following. Robert Jackson was operating a black “2022” Audi A4 Sedan in the east lane traveling south on North Elm Street stopped at the 4-way intersection of Elm Street and W Lincoln Way facing south. Nanette Cheville of Scranton was operating a blue “2014” Jeep Compass Latitude traveling east on West Lincoln Way stopped at the same 4-way intersection facing east. Both vehicles proceeded from the stop signs and collided in the int ersection. The front passenger side of Jackson’s vehicle contacted the driver side front of Cheville’s vehicle. Jackson’s vehicle received approximately $2,500 in damage. Cheville’s vehicle received approximately $5,00 in damage. Jackson was cited for “Failure to yield to vehicle on right”.
1:57pm: Todd Gordan of Jefferson reported a stray dog running loose in the 1400 block of Southfield Drive. When the Officer arrived, the dog’s owner had already arrived and picked up the animal.
10:52pm: Employee’s at Sparky’s One Stop reported a person on the property who had previously been served a “Ban and Bar” notice and could not be on the property. The Officer is investigating the possible trespass. During the investigation, the Officer observed a subject driving a vehicle who was not valid to do so. As a result, Dale Spaulding of Glidden was issued citations for “Driving While Suspended” and “Failure to Maintain Registration Plate”.
11:57pm: An Officer performs a traffic stop on 220 th Street, near the intersection with Orchard Ave. As a result of the traffic stop, Roberto Villarreal of Donna, Texas was placed under arrest for “Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense”, “Speeding (80 in a 55)”, and “Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability”
Friday, August 26th
6:18am: Bruce Banister spoke with an officer about concerns in the 700 Block of West Sunset Road. The officer gave him alternatives to the issues.
7:10am: An officer removed a bat from the business at 112 East State Street.
10:27am: A caller voiced concerns about issues in the 700 Block of West Sunset Road. The officer offered some possible remedies to the concerns.
10:45am: An officer has begun a Sexual Abuse Investigation in Jefferson.
11:34am: Jerry Fields advised he had caught a cat in a live trap at 1300 Riverside Drive and requested to meet an officer at the Animal Holding Facility.
2:30pm: A caller advised of Loud Music in the 700 Block of West Sunset Road. The officer spoke to a resident and the music was turned down.
2:57pm: Dave Hadley reported a Careless Driver on Hwy. 4, heading North into Jefferson. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
3:40pm: Kelsey Baxley reported two sick looking fox in the 400 Block of East Russell Street. The animals ran into a culvert as the officer located them.
4:22pm: Robert Gilliland reported an open man hole in Russell Park. The officer placed the cover back over the open pipe.
9:31pm: Tonya Johnson requested a Welfare Check on her adult son in the 100 Block of North Olive Street. The officer determined the subject was fine.
Saturday, August 27th
1:45am: An officer located an Open Door at 1200 North Elm Street. The officer secured the business after checking inside.
1:40am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.
11:13am: A deputy requested assistance from an officer for a pursuit occurring near Rippey. The chase continued eastbound and the officer was called off.
1:14pm: An officer assisted a motorist with mechanical issues near the casino on Hwy. 4.
1:14pm: Bella Hammond reported two stray dogs running on South Pinet Street. The officer did not locate the reported animals.
6:47pm: An officer removed a deceased cat and disposed of the carcass from 507 West Lincoln Way Street.
7:38pm: An officer located a vehicle with a flat tire near Grimmell and Clark Streets. The officer contacted the owner, who advised it would be removed as soon as possible.
Sunday, August 28th
8:49am: An officer assisted a deputy with an arrest in Grand Junction.
11:43am: Nikki Helmantoler spoke with an officer in connection to a Civil Issue occurring with the landlord at 402 North Vine Street. The officer advised both parties to seek an attorney.
1:29pm: Brea Jensen reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading into Jefferson. The officer located the reported vehicle at a business and spoke with the driver about the complaint.
2:20pm: An officer arrested Miranda Lynn Schlicht, 23 of Ralston at 600 West Lincoln Way Street. She was wanted for “Failure to Appear” on an original charge of “Violation of Protective Order.”
2:33pm: A caller advised of a Parking Complaint occurring in the 200 Block of East Lincoln Way Street. The officer did not locate any violations in the area.
4:46pm: Kaylina Bellcock spoke with an officer about a Civil Child Custody Issue. She was advised to seek an attorney.
5:31pm: A caller reported a dog had been struck by a vehicle in the 100 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer did not locate the animal.
5:37pm: Sparky’s One Stop requested an officer at 606 Hwy. 30 East for an Unwanted Subject in the business bothering customers. The officer advised the subject the business wished for her to leave the property, which she did.
6:11pm: A Traffic Stop at Chestnut and State Streets resulted in Amanda Huff of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”
7:08pm: Ashley Kuhl spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Issue, which may occur at 805 West Washington Street. The officer provided her with some options to deal with the issue if it occurs.
7:21pm: Richard Burkhardt reported a possible Theft of driver’s license plates from 401 East McKinley Street.
11:06pm: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 402 North West Street.
