Aug. 25

Samantha Allen, Bennington, Ne, was driving on Guthrie St in De Soto at Ash str, when she stopped in the travel portion of the road.  The trailer she was pulling was struck by Ivan Olson, De Soto.  No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Olson’s vehicle was estimated at $5000.  Damage to Ms. Allen’s vehicle and trailer was estimated at $1500.  The trailer and Mr. Olson’s vehicles were both towed from the scene.  Ms. Allen was issued a citation for Improper Rear Lamps and Improper Use Of Lanes.

Aug. 26

Dlorah Lee, age 40, 510 Max Dr, Stuart, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.

Brittany McCollough, age 35, 3655 240th St, Spencer, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation.

Day-Lon Houston, age 32, 1645 NW 191st St, Clive, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

Aug. 27

Edward Friedmann, Redfield, was backing out of a driveway in the 500 block of 2nd Street in Redfield when his vehicle was struck by Vance Mylan, Redfield.  No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Friedmann’s vehicle was estimated at $10000.  Damage to Mr. Mylan’s vehicle was estimated at $1000.

Rhoni Procopio, Bayard, was traveling west on Hwy 141 near Quinlan, when she lost control and crossed both lanes of traffic, rolling her car into the south ditch.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $8000.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Jessica Bensley, age 36, 508 Park Ave, Lorimor, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Aug. 28

Marshall Lohrenz, Minnetonka, Mn, was traveling east bound on I80 at the 112 mile marker, when he had to abruptly slow to avoid hitting another vehicle that had slowed for an unrelated accident.  Rory Comito, Van Meter, was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision with Mr. Lohrenz.  Both parties were checked at the scene by EMS.  Mr. Comito’s vehicle sustained an estimated $10000 damage.  Mr. Lohrenz’s vehicle received an estimated $5000.  Mr. Comito’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
