The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center football season starts tonight against Greene County on road in Ogden.

The game will played at Ogden High School due to poor field condition at the Greene County High School football field in Jeffereson. Last season, both these teams matched up for a thriller with AC/GC winning in overtime on their home field. Coach Cody Matthewson tells Raccoon Valley Radio this is a new year and they feel like their prepared to take the field against a 2A school.

“I think to me it’s going to be very competitive game with two teams. They got a lot to prove. I bet they probably have this game circled on the calendar after. You know, that’s an upsetting overtime loss to them last year. And, you know, for us, too, it’s like, you know, we shouldn’t have gave up 21 answered 28 unanswered points. We felt we were we played poor in the second half. So we’re both looking at it. And I think we both can think we could play a lot better. And we’re both probably thinking we can both win this game. So it should be a really good competitive game. And that’s all I can ask is just a nice competitive game and a clean game and everybody stays healthy.”

AC/GC football will be broadcasted live on our mobile app KKRF-2 or on Raccoonvalleyradio.com starting with pregame at 6:30pm and gametime is set for 7pm.
