jack-hansen

Greene County High School football junior Jack Hansen spent nearly all of the 2021 season on the sidelines. The receiver/defensive back suffered a broken collar bone on the first day of full contact last year and the only action he was in on were the two playoff games as the extra point holder.

Fully recovered, Hansen is looking to play a large role this season. including receiver and defensive back, as well as holder. As far as watching from the sideline last season, he said, “As the season goes on, it just gets boring sitting on the sideline because you want to get in and you just miss it that much more.”
Hansen talks about the junior class of football players, which will make up the bulk of the starting lineup. “We work hard. We’re not the biggest group of kids, but we have talent and we’re fast, so that will make up for the size.”

The Rams open the season tomorrow night vs. ACGC on a neutral field at Ogden High School at 7 o’clock. There are sod issues at Linduska Field in Jefferson, so the contest was moved to Ogden. Coverage on KG98 and streaming on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com begins at 6:15 p.m.
