The Perry football team (0-1) will travel to Ogden (0-0) tonight for a non-district battle with Ogden.  The Bulldogs defeated Perry 33-0 in last year’s season opener.  Ogden started the season 4-0 but dropped five straight to close the year, including the playoff opener.

Perry head coach Bryce Pierce knows that this will be a tough matchup tonight.  “They have a lot of experience back and their defense certainly gets at it.  We are hoping that our ground game gets going again like it did last week and keep it a low scoring game.”

Perry boasted a pair of 100 yard rushers last week with both Juan Hernandez and Keegan Snyder eclipsing the 100 yard mark.  “Both of those guys ran really hard,” added Pierce. “Our offensive line did a much better job of really getting a good push off the ball.  We have six guys that we feel comfortable with on the offensive line and Kain (Kilmer) is sort of our flex option because he is so versatile and can play multiple positions.”

Kickoff in Ogden will be at 7:00.  The Raccoon Valley Radio Network’s Football Friday night coverage begins at 6:00.  You can listen to the game with Shawn Kenney and former Iowa Hawkeye Jason Olejniczak on KDLS 94.3, 99.7 and 1310 AM, along with the mobile app at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
