A Scranton man was arrested Wednesday and charged for an alleged sexual abuse incident.
According to court documents, 28-year-old Kaleb Lentz was charged with a Class C Felony for third degree sexual abuse from a June 8th incident. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident where a then 17-year-old female victim from Rockwell City was staying at her brother in-laws’ home, belonging to Lentz, in the 600 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.
The criminal complaint shows the victim was watching Lentz’ kids while he was away and the mother was on vacation. The victim was in bed with the kids after they went to sleep that night and she took a prescribed medication that was a sleep aid. Court documents show the victim woke up to Kaleb performing a sex act. The victim said the kids were on the couch and didn’t believe they were in the bedroom when the incident happened.
A sexual assault kit was completed the following day at a hospital and a search warrant was also executed on June 9th of Lentz’ home, where his cell phone was seized and a DNA sample was taken. Test results from the Criminalistics Laboratory on August 3rd from the test kit matched the DNA sample from Lentz.
Lentz was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Greene County Jail. A no contact order was issued between the victim and Lentz. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
