Last night was the first volleyball game of the season, and the West Central Valley Wildcats opened with a game against a big conference and cross county rival. The Wildcats traveled to Panora to take on the Panorama Panthers in the crucial first game. Tune in tomorrow for more on how the game went.
Tomorrow night, both the cross country teams will get their start, as they head to East Sac County for the first meet of the season. Some notable conference competitors will include the AC/GC Chargers, Madrid Tigers, Ogden Bulldogs, Panorama Panthers, and Woodward Academy Knights.
To finish the week, the football team will head to North Mahaska to take on the Warhawks. Coach Lindsay and the Wildcats defeated the Warhawks last season, but he believes a size difference on the line could make the game interesting. Lindsay said he believes the speed and experience of the Wildcats will help make up for that size difference though, and is looking forward to what could be a good first game for the WCV team.
