There will be a new program coming to the Minburn Public Library this school year that will have plenty of fun activities for youth.

The Friday Fun Program will take place from 2:30-4 p.m. on Fridays beginning in September and Minburn Public Library Director Nicole Connick says the program is new this year as the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District recently switched to having early outs on Fridays instead of Wednesdays and the program is for kids of all ages.

“We are going to do a Nerf war, we are going to do Legos, we are going to another different kind of a book club situation. Just basically, I am going to get a lot of input from the kids to see what they want to do. We are going to have movies, just whatever kind of things they want to do every Friday afternoon and they don’t have to preregister; they can just show up.”

Connick tells Raccoon Valley Radio she is excited to have this programming running for youth to have something to do each week after school on Fridays.
