12:03am: An anonymous caller reported a barking dog near the intersection of Washington Street and Locust Street. The Officer patrolled the area and did not hear the dog barking.

12:24am: An Officer stopped at 511 North Olive Street to locate a subject who had current Greene County Warrants for their arrest. As a result, Hayley Brown of Jefferson was placed under arrest for two counts of “Interference with Official Acts”, Interference with Official Acts Causing a Bodily Injury”, and two counts of Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations.” Matthew Hurley of Jefferson was also placed under arrest for “Interference with Official Acts”

11:40am: An Officer was dispatched to HyVee for a report of theft. The Officer is investigating.

1:59pm: Joe Aversa of Ankeny, Iowa, reported he had left his wallet in a restroom at the Greene County Fairgrounds. When Joe realized this, he returned and the wallet had been taken. Joe had seen one other male present when he was at the restroom and provided his vehicle description to the Officer. While investigating, the Officer located the suspects vehicle at a residence in the 400 block of South Cedar Street. The Officer located the vehicle’s driver Tyler Armstrong. As a result of the investigation the wallet was located. Tyler Armstrong was placed under arrest for “Theft in the 5th Degree”, “Interference with Official Acts”, “Driving While Suspended”, and “Operating a Non-Registered Vehicle”

6:11pm: An Officer received a request for extra patrol in the 200 block of West State Street.

6:39pm: Samantha Hardaway of Jefferson reported a neighborhood dog off its owner’s property without being on a leash. The Officer located the dog’s owner, Jared Rumley of Jefferson. Jared was given a warning for the issue.

7:31pm: Pat Scott of Jefferson reported an open door at a residence in the 1100 block of North Maple. The Officer checked the property and found nothing suspicious.

8:05pm: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of 250th Street and Hwy. 4. As a result of the traffic stop, Sebastian Rus of North Plains, OR was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

9:02pm: Jackie Mentzer of Jefferson reported a bat in her residence in the 100 block of North Cedar Street. The Officer removed the bat.

10:06pm: Darrell Stephen of Jefferson reported seeing someone inside a residence with a flashlight in the 900 block of West South Street. Darrell reported he believed the residence was to be empty. The Officer checked the property and found nothing suspicious.

11:20pm: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance Service with a medical call in the 1300 block of West Lincolnway.
