A candidate for state office will be in Jefferson later this week.

Democrat John Norwood is running for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture. He will be at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County Thursday at 2:30pm. This is a meet and greet event and Norwood will explain why he is running for the state office and his ideas if elected as Secretary of Agriculture. The event is free and open to the public.

Norwood is running against Republican incumbent Mike Naig in the November general election.
