At their most recent Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board meeting they approved the final pay application for the new Meadow View Elementary which is preparing for its second school year.
With the first day of school tomorrow the new elementary building is ready to serve students from second through fourth grades for year two and Superintendent Greg Dufoe talks about not having to make a transition to a new building.
“It feels really good to not be efforting towards opening a school building this month like we were last year. The building is as it’s been, it’s a beautiful facility that’s going to serve our students well for decades and the final pay application is kind of a big moment and it does kind of put a bow on the project. It’s just beautiful, we couldn’t be happier with it, and we are glad we are a year away from moving in so it’s much simpler this fall.”
Meadow View Elementary officially opened its doors for the first time before the start of the 2021-22 school year and serves approximately 500 students in the district.
