Briella Mc Donald and her 10-year old sister, Jerzee, have had success on the youth rodeo circuit. The latest example was at the recent Iowa State Fair Rodeo where Briella placed third in her age group. The 12-year old daughter of Marty and Nina Mc Donald of rural Scranton won her age group in barrel racing and was third in pole racing. She not only qualified for the Championship round of six girls, but was third overall.

Mc Donald told Raccoon Valley Radio her reaction to her State Fair performance. “It was pretty cool. I was so happy I got to the Championship Round and then I got third and that was pretty good because out of everyone at State Fair I got third place.”

The sisters are entered in two more rodeos this weekend and their schedules will take them well into September.
