A Greene County farmer was recently elected to serve on a state-wide organization.
Tim Bardole of Rippey has served on the Iowa Soybean Association for many years, even serving as its president, and was recently elected as an at-large board member. ISA board members are elected for three year terms and they oversee the management and allocation of soybean checkoff and non-checkoff resources.
Bardole has been farming with his family as he grows corn and soybeans, along with raising hogs. For over 30 years, Bardole has been using soil health initiatives that he’s implemented on his farm, along with no-till soybeans and strip-till corn. He also uses cover crops and split-apply nitrogen.
Additionally, Bardole currently serves as a director on the United Soybean Board.
