Wednesday, August 17th

5:04am: Scott Foresman reported a friend’s Facebook had been hacked and he received messages from them requesting money. He did not incur a loss.

8:59am: A caller advised of a kitten in the roadway in the 100 Block of West Washington Street. The officer did not locate the animal.

3:58pm: Dave Hadley reported a Careless Driver on Hwy. 4, heading north towards Jefferson. The officer followed the reported vehicle through town and did not witness any infraction.

5:37pm: Richard Butterfield spoke to an officer in connection to a Civil Child Custody Issue.

6:22pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the parking lot at 101 Ram Drive. A 2014 Toyota Camry, owned by Kyle Kinne of Jefferson, was parked in the lot. A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, owned by Daniel Madsen and operated by Nick Madsen of Jefferson, was backing from a parking spot and struck the Kinne vehicle. The Kinne vehicle had a reported $1000.00 in damages. The Madsen vehicle was not damaged.

7:37pm: Lucy Dudley reported a Stray Dog at 403 West Madison Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.

8:18pm: An officer investigated an accident at Elm and Russell Streets. A 1996 Chevrolet Lumina, owned by Andrew Michaelsen and operated by Rafe Michaelsen of Jefferson, was northbound on Elm Street. The vehicle attempted to make a left turn on Russell Street and was struck by a southbound vehicle. The 2010 Cadillac was owned and operated by Frankie Kolbe of Bagley. The Kolbe vehicle had a reported $2000.00 in damages, while the Michaelsen vehicle suffered a reported $500.00 in damages. Michaelsen was cited for, “Fail to Yield Upon a Left Turn.”
