If you enjoy planting flowers and would like to support a good cause, the Friends of the Minburn Public Library has an ongoing fundraiser.

The fall flower bulb and seed sale is currently ongoing until October 15th with items to begin shipping in mid-September. Library Director Nicole Connick says those who participate will help the library through their purchases.

“You pick what you want to buy and 50-percent of everything you pay for goes directly to the library. We did it in the spring and we raised enough money to buy the library a new printer and so now we are looking for some new shelving so we are doing it to raise some money for some new shelving.”

Connick tells Raccoon Valley Radio fundraising is important to making sure the library can continue to offer services to the community.

“We are not a very big library but we provide a lot of things for the community so our friends are instrumental in making sure that we can continue to do that.”
