Adel-DeSoto-Minburn football is only 10 days away from their week 1 matchup against Gilbert on the road, and the Tigers will be hoping to find some good play in their special teams this upcoming season.

The Tigers will have one of the best kickers in the state this year in senior Sam Holloway, and could give the Tigers a big advantage in that department against many different programs. He was a first team all-district kicker and third team all-state, and was able to make some good strides during the offseason as well.

His stats for kicking and punting were very good from a year ago, as he went 3/3 in field goals and 43/46 on extra points, recorded four touchbacks on kickoffs, and was able to record an average of 40 yards per punt on 12 kicks.

On kickoff returns, senior Cade Morse was able to average 25 yards a return from a year ago, and Aiden Flora was able to average 20 yards per punt return on six attempts.

If special teams is as good on the field is on paper, it could make a major difference this year. You can listen to Tiger football all season long on the home of the Tigers True Country K1079, the KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
