The Perry City Council  approved a pay application for phase one of the relocation of an airport runway at their regular meeting Monday.

The pay application was in the amount of $106,231 to Wenthold Excavating, LLC for the work being done out at the Perry Municipal Airport. Also, the Council approved a fireworks permit for J&M Displays, Inc. for halftime of the Perry Community School District homecoming football game.

Then the council approved a job description and pay range for an adult services librarian position due to the upcoming retirement of a librarian and a time and date for a public hearing of 6 p.m. September 6th for the amendment to the franchise agreement with Interstate Power and Light Company.

Then the Council approved and adopted a revenue purpose statement for the use or expenditure of revenues from an electric service franchise fee which increases the franchise fee charge on the gross receipts of the sale of electricity to customers increasing it 2-percent up to 4-percent.

Finally, the Council set a time and date for Safety/Employee Appreciation Day of October 26th from from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Perry Police Department sallyport and approved the readdressing of a parcel and a preliminary plat.
