Monday, August 15th

2:04pm: Hy Vee reported a customer had left a prescription in a shopping cart and left the store at 106 West Washington Street. A customer came in and grabbed the cart to shop. The customer noticed the prescription in the cart and took it from the store after checking out. The officer identified the customer and went and spoke with them. He provided the officer the prescription, which was taken back to the pharmacy.

2:50pm: Jo Byriel reported a residence in the 600 Block of West State has a wrecked vehicle in the back yard and it is an eye sore. The officer will pass the information to the City Code Enforcement Officer.

5:32pm: Amanda Carlson reported a Stray Dog at 714 South Locust. The animal’s owner arrived before the officer and took possession of the dog.

7:53pm: A caller advised of Barking Dogs in a garage at 511 North Olive Street. The officer did not locate any barking in the area.

8:16pm: Officers assisted with a Medical Call at 511 North Olive Street. An officer transported a female subject to ER to be evaluated by a medical doctor. During the event, the subject assaulted nursing staff and the officers. Charges are pending at this time.

10:33pm: An officer investigated an accident in the 500 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. A 2005 Dodge 2500, owned by Mary Constatine of Jefferson, was parked on the street. A 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, owned by Dan Moranville and operated by Rylie Moranville of Jefferson, was traveling eastbound on Lincoln Way Street and struck the Constatine vehicle. Each vehicle had a reported $1500.00 in damages. Moranville was cited for, “Failure to Maintain Control.”
