A new downtown business in Jefferson recently held its grand opening.

The Greene County Ambassadors rolled out the welcome with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday for the stationary and gift store, Warm Wishes, at 200 East State Street. Owner Kristin Lang talked about her reaction to finally having her grand opening.

“I’m feeling great. It feels really special to have so many community members joining today. People coming in to look at different products, but then also to have cookies from The Centennial feels really special too.”

Lang described the community feedback she’s been getting since her soft opening during the Bell Tower Festival this past June.

“The community feedback has been really positive. It’s been really great to have community members come in. And I’ve gotten to hear people laughing as they’re looking at cards, talking to people about, ‘Oh I know who I want to get this for when it’s their birthday.’ Kids kind of begging their parents, ‘Please can I have this?’ So it’s been really fun to see all the different ways that people are interacting with the space. And overall, I would say it’s been really positive.”

Lang added that she will continue to offer products through her website, so that she can reach people beyond Greene County. The grand opening was held from 10am-4pm Saturday. Click the links below for more information about Warm Wishes.
