
Friday, August 12th
12:50am: Josh Tuel advised of Loud Complaint in the 500 Block of North Chestnut Street. The officer located a group in the area and asked them to quiet down.
1:57am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 106 West Washington Street. The business was secure.
6:16am: Michelle Cook reported a possible Violation of No Contact Order, which occurred at 106 West Washington Street. The officer has requested video surveillance video from the business and is investigating.
6:53am: Deputies assisted the officers with the execution of a Narcotics Search Warrant at 204 North Maple Street. Items of suspected narcotics and paraphernalia were seized from the residence and two vehicles. Charges are pending lab results.
10:37am: Tonya Johnson spoke with an officer in connection to a Civil Property Issue occurring in Jefferson.
10:44am: Home State Bank requested assistance from an officer with a vehicle parked in their private lot at 115 West State Street.
11:04am: An officer investigated an accident in the 300 Block of South Chestnut Street. A 2008 Buick Enclave, owned by Vickie Taylor of Jefferson, was parked on the west side of the street. A 2006 Dodge Caravan, owned and operated by Nancy Halterman of Grand Junction, struck the Taylor vehicle while attempting to park in front of it. Each vehicle had a reported $2000.00 in damages.
11:17am: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of South Elm Street.
12:32pm: Brad Beadle reported the Theft of Baseball Cards from 506 South Wilson Ave. Several thousand dollars of cards are reported to be missing. The officer has suspects and is investigating.
12:46pm: Marilynn Hoskinson reported receiving a call advising she had one 18 million dollars and a new car. The prizes were due to be dropped off at her residence later in the day. The caller was requesting banking information to obtain a fee for her to be able to accept her winnings. She ended the call and did not provide the caller any information.
1:24pm: Mindy Durlam reported a subject on a motorcycle, stopped along 220th Street and leaning over the handlebars. The vehicle was gone when the officer arrived in the area.
2:33pm: A caller advised a subject, who had been evicted from 206 South Oak Street, was back at the property. The subject left the area before the officer could respond.
3:57pm: Rich Osborne reported a Careless Driver on South Elm Street, heading into Jefferson. The officer did not locate the vehicle.
7:24pm: Matt Cummings spoke to an officer about a Civil Property Issue occurring in Jeferson.
9:41pm: A caller requested Extra Patrol near two residences in Jefferson overnight. The officer granted the request.
Saturday, August 13th
12:46am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Drive.
8:34am: Doug Jacobs reported a male subject standing near the roadway in the 900 Block of Hwy. 30 East. The officer spoke to the subject, who was making his way to Boone.
11:15am: A Traffic Stop in the 1200 Block of North Elm Street resulted in James Burton of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
1:24pm: An officer assisted with a Civil Property Exchange at 605 North Vine Street.
1:27pm: Deb Dennhardt reported a fox in her yard at 506 South Olive Street. The animal had left the area before the arrival of the officer.
4:54pm: An officer spotted a wanted female in a vehicle at 106 West Washington Street. Miranda Lynn Schlicht, 23 of Ralston was arrested on an outstanding Greene County Arrest Warrant for, “Violation of No Contact Order.”
7:10pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Wall Streets resulted in Homer Ramsey of ME. Being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
7:42pm: Jordan Sloan reported he had been involved in an argument with a subject and
believed the subject was going to harm his current girlfriend. The officer determined there was no threat and took no action.
8:13pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested officers to remove an intoxicated female from 777 Wild Rose Drive. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Angela Lynn Wadsley, 46 of Des Moines for, “Public Intoxication – Simple.”
10:34pm: Tanisha Rice reported young children sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot at 777 Wild Rose Drive. The officer located the vehicle and learned the mother was also waiting in the vehicle with the children.
10:34pm: An officer was requested at the GC Jail for an Unruly Female Prisoner. The officer assisted the jail staff in gaining compliance from the inmate.
11:35pm: A caller provided information to an officer that a Jefferson resident may have illegal firearms. The officer is investigating.
Sunday, August 14th
12:19am: A caller advised of a group of juveniles, who were possibly fighting, at the intersection of Park and Olive Streets. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.
3:31am: An officer was requested to assist ER Staff at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street with a patient attempting to leave the facility. The officer stood by while the staff gained compliance from the patient.
2:28pm: Terry Becker reported a Stray Dog in the 500 Block of West Washington Street. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
3:26pm: A Traffic Stop at Lincoln Way and Cedar Streets resulted in Cody Springer of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”
4:28pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Drive.
6:15pm: Tanner Lange reported the family dog had bitten his son and they were headed to ER. The officer learned the bite occurred out in the county and will forward information to the Sheriff’s Office.
9:30pm: Matt Cummings reported a Careless Driver near 207 West Gallop Road. The officer has identified the vehicle and driver and is investigating the complaint.
9:38pm: Officers were called back to ER to assist with the previous patient attempting to leave again. The officer worked with staff to gain compliance from the subject.
