While the season has been concluded for a little while now for the Panorama Panthers baseball team, it’s still a good time to look at some of the post season honors.
After finishing their season in the first round of district competition there have been plenty of accolades for Panthers players in the postseason.
After the season concluded three players earned some form of recognition in the postseason including senior Austin Block who received honorable mention for All-West Central Activities Conference, sophomore Hunter Dishman also received an honorable mention for All-West Central Activities Conference and finally senior Brice Taylor earned a Second Team All-West Central Activities Conference vote for infielder and First Team for All-SW District 1B. All three of these players contributed to the team this year and had their hard work recognized and two of them won’t be present on the team next year.
Also, one player was able to earn a spot on the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association 2022 Class 2A All-State team in senior Brice Taylor as he was able to earn a spot on the third team. Taylor contributed heavily from the mound this year as well as in the batters box as he finished with an ERA slightly above three and a batting average above .300.
The season concluded with the Panthers Baseball team finishing with an overall record of 7-17 on the year.
