Dallas County Extension and Outreach will soon be hosting a program for people to become a master conservationist.

Regional Director Ann Torbert says this is a partnership program which is done with the Dallas County Conservation Board along with other people who are involved with conservation work in the county. Torbert says the program will begin on August 18th and the cost is $95.

“During the six weeks you will be hearing from those who are leaders in conservation in the county and you will also be seeing unique conservation practices as part of the different field trips that you’ll be taking. With this program there is no requirement to volunteer time back like there is with the master gardener program. This is simply a six week program where you’re going to come and learn about the great conservation practices and spots that are available for folks to see here in Dallas County.”

The program will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays in the Dallas County Extension Office Meeting Room in Adel.
