The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved a Destination Iowa Grant at their regular meeting Tuesday.
The Dallas County Conservation Board was awarded a $1 million Destination Iowa Grant that is administered by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and will be used for trail construction on the High Trestle Trail extension which is part of the Raccoon River Valley Rail and High Trestle Trail connector project.
Then the Board set a time and date of August 30th at 9:30 a.m. for a public hearing on the Northern Natural Gas Pipeline easement. The Board also agreed on new rates for meal reimbursement of $8 for breakfast, $10 for lunch and $20 for dinner but will look to discuss it further during budget season. The meal reimbursement is for when employees are required to attend a meeting in or out of the county.
The Board then held a capital projects finance workshop and discussed the William Wagner Celebration as plans are continuing to be made.
