2022 Greene County Fair Queen Hannah Curtis
The 2022 Iowa State Fair begins this week and several Greene County residents will be there.
This year’s Greene County Fair Queen Hannah Curtis will be heading to the state fairgrounds to compete for Iowa State Fair Queen. She talked about her favorite part of being at the state fair after she won the county fair queen crown this past July.
“I am honestly really looking forward to being able to meet these other girls as well. You know make these connections with other girls and I might find someone who goes to my college that I never knew.”
The State Fair Queen Coronation ceremony is slated for Saturday, August 13th. Additionally, there will be 24 Greene County 4-H static exhibits that qualified for the state fair, along with this year’s Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame Inductee Peg Morlan Gannon. There will also be other livestock and open static exhibits from Greene County residents at the state fair. Raccoon Valley Radio will have updated results throughout the week of the fair, which is from August 11th-21st.
