As we continue looking at the stats recorded by both baseball and softball players for the West Central Valley Wildcats today, we’ll start with junior Blaise Beane from the baseball team. He started and played in all 29 games that the baseball team played. He traveled to the plate 88 times, recording 15 runs, and 25 hits. Of those hits, 19 were singles, 3 were doubles, 1 was a triple, and 2 were home runs.

Beane also tallied 20 RBI’s, 1 sacrifice fly, was walked 8 times, hit by 11 pitches, reached on error 4 times and was struck out 22 times. He recorded a batting average of .284, an on base percentage of .407, and a slugging percentage of .409. Beane was successful on all 12 of his steals, had 42 assists, 35 put outs, and a fielding percentage of .748.

When it came to pitching stats, he pitched 34.2 innings, throwing 730 pitches to 199 opponents, who recorded an opponent batting average of .216 against Beane. He struck out 33 batters, and recorded an ERA of 6.06

For the softball team, sophomore Addison Feris did a phenomenal job as one of the team’s utility players. She started in 28 of the 34 games she played, heading to the plate 89 times, scoring 10 runs, and tallying 14 hits. Of those hits, 12 were singles, 1 was a double, and 1 was a triple, helping her tally 15 RBI’s.

Feris also had 1 sacrifice play, was walked 6 times, hit by a pitch twice, reached on error 6 times, and was struck out 25 times. She recorded a batting average of .157, an on base percentage of .224, and a slugging percentage of .191. Feris was successful on all 3 of her steals, recorded 3 assists, 5 put outs, and had a fielding percentage of 1.000.
