With the cross country season approaching for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center girls team we look at their accomplishments last year.
In the 2021 season, the AC/GC girls team was chalk full of underclassmen with only two juniors and one senior. The Lady Chargers finished second in four of their 10 meets along with two fourth place finishes. A highlight in the season was the girls performance in the district qualifier where Ava Campbell finished in fourth place, Hayden Coffman finished in eighth, Adalyn Bensen finishing ninth and Paige Van Meter crossed the finish line in 23rd. Their performances earned the AC/GC girls cross country team a 2nd place finish in the district qualifier and a state berth in Fort Dodge. At Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, the Lady Charger cross country team placed 15th with Ava Campbell finishing the race in 21st place and Hayden Coffman placed in the top 50. The 2022 season will kick off on August 8th with the first practice.
