The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center School District hired a new leadership position before the new school year begins.

Taylor Morris will be the new activities director for the foreseeable future. Morris will be going into his fifth year as an at-risk teacher at the Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School and has been the varsity high school head baseball coach for four years. Morris says that being more involved in every activity attracted him to the position.

“I enjoy watching people in their element, you know, and it encompasses all types of activities throughout our school system here between your fine arts, your sports, your other extracurriculars like FFA and things like that. It’s just something that you enjoy watching people who love what they do.”

He notes that having experience as an AC/GC coach and teacher will help him adapt to the new position. Morris will take over for Cody Matthewson who was the previous AD for two years.
