Recently, the Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved a new logo for Dallas County.

At a recent meeting on July 19th the Board approved the new logo that will be used to rebrand the county and Supervisor Mark Hanson says it’s not unusual for organizations involved with corporate activity to have some sort of brand and the new logo will help make things more uniformed.

“We did come up with a standard county logo that shows farm fields, Dallas County, Iowa, shows our river. Some may think it’s a bike trail but it really is the river. So, the farms, the river, Dallas County, Iowa with the courthouse tower as part of the brand.”

Hanson tells Raccoon Valley Radio while the logo will change some things will remain the same such as continuing to use the William Wagner sketch as Wagner was a resident of Dallas County and played an integral role in the early phases of the renovation of the Dallas County Courthouse and his sketch of the courthouse will still be used on all letterheads.

“So, we will be incorporating that on all of our material, our websites, all of the entities whether it be public health, or our assessor, or our engineer will all have access to that logo to put on communications that they’ll be sending out to their people.”

A few changes were needed to be made to the approved logo before rebranding can officially begin.
