The Perry Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for a business in the community which moved into downtown Perry.
Owner of It’s Hair Stephanie Garrett says the business has made a few moves in the past ten years and they most recently moved as Garrett says they wanted to get downtown as it continues to grow and expand, which has its own benefits.
“There is going to be growth with walk-ins and we are more noticeable, we are in a busier area, a more accessible area. So, that’s a huge plus for us.”
Garrett tells Raccoon Valley Radio she recently took over the business from her mom as she started out working with her mom at It’s Hair. Garrett says it’s just her right now but eventually she will be looking to add another stylist to the family-oriented salon. Garrett says it was nice to see so many people out to welcome the new location.
“That was actually really amazing. It was one of the bigger ribbon cuttings that I’ve personally seen. So, it brings a sense of community and that’s exactly what being back downtown was for me. I feel like I’m a part of the community again.”
