The Dallas County Auditor’s Office has announced a change in the filing period for candidates for Non-Party Political Organization (NPPO) and Non-Affiliated individuals for the upcoming November general election.

Nomination papers and affidavits of candidacy can be picked up in the Auditor’s Office at at 210 N. 10th Street in Adel from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or online here.

The first day Non-Party candidates and Township Trustees can file for the general election is Monday, August 8th with a filing deadline of 5 p.m. August 31st. The last day to file for Soil and Water Commissioners and Ag-Extension is also 5 p.m. August 31st.

For those who have already filed papers to be on the ballot for the general election they do not need to refile.
