A new daycare expansion project is making progress in their goal to have a new and improved facility.
Little Charger Early Learning Daycare Center Board Member Shannon Neff-Muell says they have raised over a million dollars towards the new facility but they are still shy of their end goal of $1.7 million. Neff-Muell explains the money they have raised so far has been private donations and grant fundraising.
“We have raised about $500,000 in private donations from the community, you know, residents and businesses. And then we have received about $500,000 in grants as well. So that’s what our current breakdown is of what we’ve raised so far. “
Neff-Muell notes their new facility will be built right next to the current property and as they get contracts in place and a cost estimate, she expects the new facility to be completed by the spring of 2023.
The Little Charger Early Learning Center is also planning on having a fundraiser in late October with a Britney Spears impersonator with more information coming in the near future.
