As we continue looking at the stats recorded by both baseball and softball players for the West Central Valley Wildcats today, we’ll start with Sophomore Landon Osberg from the baseball team. He started in 27 of the 28 games he played in, had 63 at bats, 9 runs, and 10 hits. Of those 10 hits, 8 were single base hits, 1 was a double, and 1 was a triple. He also recorded 4 RBI’s and a sacrifice bunt, 3 walks, was hit by a pitch twice, and reached on error 3 times.

Osberg was struck out 27 times, had a batting average of .159, an on base percentage of .221, and a slugging percentage of .206. He was successful on 3 of his 4 base steal attempts, and recorded 10 assists, 33 put outs, and had a fielding percentage of .729. In the pitching stats, he threw for 20 innings, getting a pitch count of 437, and going up against 131 batters, giving an opponent batting average of .290, and recording an ERA of 7.7.

For the softball team, we follow sophomore Madison Kent. She started in 2 of the 9 games she played in, recording 7 at bats, 1 run and 1 hit, which was a single base hit. She also recorded 1 RBI, was struck out once, and ended the season with a batting average of .143, an on base percentage of .143, and a slugging percentage of .143.

Kent also recorded 3 assists, 1 put out, and a fielding percentage of .800. As one of the three pitchers for the Wildcats, she also pitched 21 innings, facing off against 94 opponents, and giving an opponent batting average of .223, while recording an ERA of 2.67.
